The International Film Festival Animayo present the premiere of the Official Awards, Animayo 2023.The International Jury of the Festival chose 15 Awards and 16 Special Mentions. 2000 films from 80 countries around the world. Only 60 film were in the oficial competition. The Animayo Official Awards “The best of Animayo” is a prestigious award and is the first and only animation festival in Spain to be designated a "Qualifying Festival" by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Hollywood for the Oscar® Awards in two categories: international animated short film for the 'Animayo International Grand Jury Prize', (since 2018), and 'Best Short Film in Spanish - Animation with Ñ', for countries that have Spanish as an official language, (since 2023). Among the films to be screened are "Our Uniform", by Iranian Yegane Moghaddam, and "Amarradas", by Spanish Carmen Córdoba, both winners of the Animayo Awards with two direct passes to the Oscar® pre-selection, and "Pasajero", by Juan Pablo Zaramella,won the awards for Best Art Direction of the International Jury and Best Stop Motion ex aequo with "Les Liaisons Foireuses", by Chloé Alliez and Violette Delvoye.
