Aprilyn Cunanan is a Filipino-American illustrator who works professionally as a background painter/designer and as a visual development artist in TV, feature and indie animation. She's worked with previous clients such as WB Animation, Cartoon Network, Netflix and Disney on shows such as DC Super Hero Girls, Tig N' Seek, Tiny Toons: Looniversity and Jellystone!

AAPI women and background painters in indie, TV and feature animation will discuss finding the balance of painting for a fast pace production and making the necessary time to follow athletic passions such as marathon running, backpack hiking, roller-skating and outdoor/indoor rock climbing. In this panel, we'll explore the benefits of pursuing outdoor sports and its application to our craft. We will demo and lead our audience in our favorite hand and body stretches that will benefit any artists and office workers!
