Esther Morales is a Spanish character designer and visual artist. Her main passion is to create characters as a vehicle to tell stories and observe the world through her sketches.
Over the last decade she has been working for different feature films and animated series with studios such as Cartoon Network, Netflix Animation, Cartoon Saloon, Lighthouse Studios, Les Éditions Albert René, Ánima and Gigglebug.
Her drive to learn and share her thoughts and creative process with other artists around the world has led her to teach different character design workshops at schools such as Gobelins, The Animation Workshop, Avans University, La Galería Roja, Warrior Art Camp, U-tad and Trazos.
She is also an avid coffee drinker, nature lover and overall nerd.

During this talk Esther Morales will be sharing her experience with observational drawing and sketchbooking sessions as a source of inspiration and daily practice for character design and visual development. Finding in your sketchbook a judgement-free space to create and learn is key for amplifying your visual library and improving your drawing skills while having fun and finding your own voice.
